Morocco Post \ the Editor
The vice president of marketing at Honda Siege Cars India Ltd., told Newswires. “We are recalling the vehicles to replace the faulty part and are working out the details on by when we can start the process,”
“Honda Motor Co (7267.T) said on Friday it would recall a total 646,000 units of the Fit/Jazz and City models globally, including 140,000 in the United States.
The recall covers the models sold in North America, South America, Europe, South Africa and Asia, but not Japan, a spokeswoman said.
The Fit is Honda’s best-selling model in Japan.
Honda said the recall was to fix a defective master switch, which could cause water to enter the power window switch and in some cases cause a fire.
There were three reported cases of fires due to the defect, two in the United States and one in South Africa, the spokeswoman said.” said Reuters.
It was not to arouse any suspicion when Toyota decided to recall nearly two million eight hundred thousand cars because of a defect the gas pedals, as many considered this to be a normal mistake that could have happened to any industrial establishment.
Only when Honda decided to do so, when I start asking myself if all this is a coincidence or it is part of the American solution to its economic crisis.
After serving the US market for years Toyota and Honda became the most affordable and economic cars to drive in the American highways, its good reputation attracted all social classes, you hardly can hear one complain about its machines.
What could have happened to cause this drastic and dramatic change?
We will leave the answer to this question to future indications, for now I just wish to confirm that Ford Company began offering incentives for those who want to trade their Toyota cars.!!
